I'm going to recite this every time it takes me two strokes to hit my ball out of a sand trap from now on.

Here's the solution- watch the roads for a square of turf that falls off a truck, cut it into four strips and bring a piece with you to the course. Just put it in the sand trap and put your ball on it when nobody's looking. Your sand play will improve dramatically.
