I'm sure I can make you you well over 100 gifs with Campbell lined up this way.  
And yes, they absolutely did switch sides according to TE/RB formations and simply to take advantage of match-ups. 
For instance they wanted Ngakoue against the RT vs Tennessee, and they wanted Campbell against the LT in L.A. 
Of course Campbell also got lots of pressure and a number of sacks from the DT spot too, but he played LOTS of snaps versus the RT.

I know he played some snaps there, was copious to see where he starts so I decided to go to the last game we played to see where he started.  Started at RDE against Nate Soldier, moved him inside on passing downs.

Ok... so he's taken SOME snaps at RDE.

I'll venture to say the percentage is about 5 percent at RDE, about 5 percent at DT, an about 90 percent at LDE.

Well, the actual numbers probably are a bit higher than 5% (especially at DT) but yeah,  you get the point. 

Their clear intention for him is "big end, but sliding inside at times." 

The reason the actual percentage is higher is because they swapped he and Ngakoue outright for several series in 3 or 4 games in an attempt to create mismatches or better match-ups.  (If Yannick was getting swallowed up by a dominant LT or a RT was showing he was susceptible to a speed rush - they would swap them. Sometimes for multiple defensive series. Then there were of course the times they just flipped the whole set due to the TE/RB changing the strong side.)

Watching game pass from 4 different games to make those gifs I saw Campbell take about 65% of the snaps from the strong side end, about 25% from DT and the other ten from the weak side end. The weak side % was kind-of high because - two of those games I sorted through were games where they moved Ngakoue and Campbell to attempt a mismatch.  (tacks and rams)

You shouldn't look at them as a LDE or RDE, but more along of the lines of what they're actually playing. Strong side DE and Weak side DE (left or right doesn't matter much, as it depends mostly on the Offensive formation). I remember seeing them flip sides all of the time during games, depending on which side the TE/RB lined up at after coming out of their huddle. Like NYC said above, it was to continue too ideally get Ngakoue matched up 1 v 1 on the weak side. Campbell played every position along the DL, but he was mainly the Strong side DE, 5 Tech, or Big End. Whichever you want to call him.
