We can't go no-huddle on every play, but I want to see a lot of more them.

I would like to see more of a spread offense out there. Take a look at the Eagles, they really don't have a running game so they are running a lot of plays from shotgun no back, no huddle utilizing their receivers to the max. If we take that approach it will help us set up the run game.

They need to. Bortles is at his best when he can just go, go, go. We saw that in Chicago last weekend. If Robinson catches that TD instead of allowing it to turn into an INT it could have completely changed the dynamic of the game. But when you're facing the worst defense in the NFL, which blows coverage and has tons of issues with assignments and penalties. You must take advantage of them and keep the pressure on them. I'd like to see Julius Thomas show up in this game. He's been M.I.A since the season opener. Hopefully he's healthy enough to play tomorrow. But I think we should go no huddle as much as we can. I think it's possible Blake can come out here tomorrow and throw for nearly or over 300 yards against this defense with possibly 3 - 4 TD's through the air. I still think we should win this game by a minimum of 10 points. Carr is overdue for some turnovers too. I think our defense is better than most people realize.....

The Jags already run the 9th most plays per game. The tempo isn't the problem. If anything trying to ramp it up even more will just wear down the defense.

Remember when Chip Kelly was fired and the defensive players were finally allowed to admit that their balls to the wall offense was wearing them down big time. Their defense was bottom 5 in the league. This year they are running a normal tempo offense and the Eagles defense is top 3 in both scoring and yards against in the league.

The real answer is Blake, if he is ever truly going to be a franchise QB, needs to be able to run a normal offense if the team is going to go anywhere. The rest of the team being able to function depends on it.

Or they could finally run the damn ball for 4 yards per carry or better. That would work too. Only better.

Motion will be more important than tempo in attacking this defense imo. The largest contributing factor to their defense's struggles has been breakdowns in communicating assignments. That's how the Chiefs attacked them last week, constant pre-snap motion, get them off-balance.

But yeah finding a run game would be nice obviously.

Go no huddle the first drive and see if we can get an early lead. We usually go 3 and out anyway so why not try it.

Let the D play with the lead.

I never understood the whole, tire the defense out. I mean, is the offense, who is just as active as a defense is, more conditioned in terms of endurance or stamina?

It is more about keeping Oakland's offense off the field.

It's the defense that's in chase mode, that's why they tire out quicker.

It is all about time of possession. The longer a person is doing intensive exercise, the sooner he will tire out. Coaches and strength trainers know this when they work on increasing a player's endurance level.

Just me spitting out potentially idiotic ideas, but can't we do both? Hurry up offense, yet slow it down some with screens and running plays? (As u can probably guess, I have 0 offensive coordinator experience. So go easy on me. )
