I was pointing out that, if you actually read the link, Kavanaugh was not claiming that this was part of the Constitution, but something that needed to be passed by congress first, the implication being that Kavanaugh would not rule in the POTUS' favor under current law. As far as the choice, my guess is that Trump asked for advice from someone else and signed off on the choice, which is typically what every leader does. The "list" of strict constructionist judges from which Kavanaugh was picked was obviously not created by Trump. "Why should I give information to you when all you want to do is find something wrong with it?" |
