I mean what I said.  People who thought Mexico would ever in any way pay for a wall on either side of our border, or who cheered when the current President said that they would, are delusional loons.

Are people who believed they could keep their doctor loons as well?

Considering that ever since I've been alive, doctors regularly left and joined different insurance networks from one year to another, and no one really knew which doctors they were going to get when they selected a new plan and if they would be able to keep that doctor for more than a year, so yeah, anyone who believed that line was also a loon.

The latest gems from this peach.

1. Threatening to use her congressional powers to subpoena Don Jr. for tweeting a socialist meme about her.
2. Saying the 35 year old requirement to run for POTUS only applies to men.

She isn't even official yet and is already delivering us this gold.

She triggers you guys like nobody's business. If I didn't know better, I'd say the right has some kind of fixation on her. Tell me, how do you really feel about her? Because I pretty much ignore her, and I laugh at you guys who are so desperate for an enemy now that Hillary's gone that you latch onto a first-term Congresswoman who hasn't even been sworn in yet, and is at least six years from even dreaming about a run for the Presidency (and probably never will get there because she's so extreme).

We agree here. She makes good meme fodder, but other than that there is nothing worthy of any attention. Besides, it won’t be long until the Nancy Pelosi machine eats her alive.

I doubt the Pelosi machine eats her alive. Nancy Pelosi is pushing 80, and she's always been good at knowing which direction the tides were turning. Remember that comment she made about being a "transitional figure"? The woman's smart. She's going to get to choose her successor, and in so doing control the Democratic platform for much longer than she's got left. Unless she's a vampire. Which she might be.

So, basically, I anticipate Pelosi choosing someone from the Ocasio-Cortez School of Socialism for Dummies. Maybe not Ocasio-Cortez herself given the age issue, but someone along those lines. She's greasing the skids to make sure that her agenda doesn't retire along with her, it just gets rolled into the democratic socialist one.

Which is the perfect method for retiring her agenda. Ocasio-Cortez made it into office for two reasons, and it ain't the persuasion of her politics.

1) Knee jerk TDS voting
2) Joseph Crowley being completely complacent and failing to gauge said TDS

Ocasio-Cortez is an ignorant clown who rode a zeitgeist train into Washington. Her activism makes her a target of the right and the left. She'll be marginalized and ignored by her own party apparatus because even they understand that socialism is a dirty word.

She is a clown, but a dangerous one. The ideas she is espousing have been tried, the result being corpses stacked up by the tens of millions.

Nah. In order for her to be dangerous, she has to be influential. The media expresses their love for her because it is successful in riling the right, but no one denies she isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. When she's served her purpose as tool of provocation, she'll be quickly forgotten.

You guys really need a single payer system. Outside the doctor leaving the country or retiring you will always keep them

She’s naive and out of touch. She will quickly get swept under amongst her peers. Probably not going to keep her from showing her ignorance in public though. It’s pathetic, but entertaining to watch her continuously roast her intellect in public.

Hmm...
You like CNN?
I don't... but I went to a source that wouldn't be ridiculed by someone, so I avoided Fox.

She's only dangerous to the democrats.   The republicans will trot her out there endlessly, to say, "See? This is what a democrat is.  This is what they believe.  You elect democrats?  This is what you get."

And of course, to a certain extent, they'd be right.

cool a couple of opinions say otherwise.

People live longer in Canada, UK and Australia. They also pay substantially less per person on health. This seems a good combo of stats.

But sure you are programmed to over pay for your health and poor outcomes for the community. I'm sure someone is winning from that...follow the money.

Life expectancy is not just a function of health care quality. But you're programed to accept government control of your life like a good little subject. I know who is winning from your situation.

the people who compiled life expectancy stats in the US say that premature deaths due to opioid abuse are really dragging our numbers down compared to other nations.
I don't think a more socialist vision of healthcare addresses this problem that we have, but I do think it is a deficiency in our health care quality.
I just think both our physicians and our pharmaceutical sales reps simply have to take more responsibility for their actions and treat the patients like family rather than dollar signs.
