Spending money is one type of intervention.
So are new regulations.
So is stricter enforcement of existing regulations.
Later AOC insists she's not talking about government "taking over" stuff. Because "intervention" could mean so many different things, these statements are not necessarily inconsistent.

As much as I hate to agree with you, there is a large degree of truth in the idea that if she does get a second term, it will be entirely the right's fault for making her look like a savior to Democrats. I've already seen links on various social media feeds with articles endorsing a Constitutional amendment to lower or remove the age requirements for holding the Presidency purely so that she can run. If the right would just shut up and let her keep talking herself into a hole, that wouldn't be happening.

If she keeps being portrayed by the right as some kind of antichrist, it emboldens her supporters on the left to see her as a savior for the Democratic Party...which she's not, although I wouldn't complain if she were to become one. With Trump's outfit running a far-right GOP and the Cortez-led "democratic socialists" running the Democrats, it might finally piss off enough of us in the middle for a third party to emerge.
