Gus feeling the fire? He apparently went off in the locker room at halftime

Soward was gone before JDR got here.

Quote:Gus is a master motivator. No other coach in the league would have been able to motivate their team to that victory.

My point was simply there were no legit WRs to speak of during JDRs tenure (except Jimmy at the beginning).

Quote:Coincidence the team played much better after the half?  IDK but interesting

Interesting... here I thought that Gus actually made some incredible halftime adjustments, but it appears he used a more old fashioned tactic.

I know the Colts believe this.

BTW, I keep wondering if Gus yelled, "DO YOUR JOB!"

I call bull. The offense was TERRIBLE to start the 3rd quarter. Gus did nothing as a coach at halftime. It was between the 3rd and 4th quarter that the spark came. The defense played great when they should have been failing for being on the field and bortles finally found his spark in the no huddle / hurry up offense that they refuse to run.

The offense kept struggling in the 3rd quarter, but the defense came out and was no longer just allowing third down conversions at will, and Ramsey was suddenly playing much better against Alshon.

Oops, I kinda wondered about that but did not take the time to look it up.

Edit: Mike Sims-Walker and Troy Williamson then I believe.

I was wondering what 'insider information' you acquired that leads you to believe that Gus Bradley 'ripped into' the team at halftime? 'Ripping into' the team would be contrary to what we've observed from Gus's coaching style and philosophy. But then again, winning football would also be a new experience here for Gus Bradley so who knows?

I'm not sure who you're asking but there's probably been a half dozen different stories on it from at least four sources.
