Never until Trump was elected has any party just ignored the qualifications of a nominee and voted to support character assassination. The logical explanation for voting "no" on a candidate as highly qualified as Kavanaugh is hatred of Trump, a hatred which was put above country. 

And if you want to claim that it was a vote about his actions 30 years ago, where there was zero-point-zero supporting evidence, then the willingness of the Dems to cast aside presumption of innocence in order to justify their votes makes an even stronger case. it was less than 30 years ago that Kavanaugh behaved as a naked partisan, first in service of Ken Starr and then and service of George W Bush.
so there were plenty of reasons to oppose his nomination that had nothing to do with Donald Trump and nothing to do with allegations of sexual harassment. If you are somebody was hoping for less partisanship, Kavanaugh's record of employment is highly concerning. Of course he confirmed all of those concerns in his final testimony to the Senate, making it much more hostile and partisan than it was already.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.
