There were a number of sketchy calls in that game. Some favored the squealers, some didn't.
That was a big one though.

Kind of like that phantom roughing the passer and face mask during the Squealers final drive. Sorry, that game still resonates with me.

Exactly. If the Jaguars game were called fairly the saints game might not have mattered. NFL can't have the squealers playing for nothing in December though.

Screw the Steelers.

They've had so many bad calls go their way over the years, dating back to the Immaculate Deception, the bogus pass interference against Benny Barnes in SB XIII, Mike Renfro's negated TD catch, Kordell Stewart's allowed TD in the AFC championship against the Colts in the 1995 season, the absolute league sanctioned raping of Seattle in SB XL, up to that horrible roughing call against Calais Campbell, I have zero sympathy for them at all.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

I get this feeling that some refs just make a decision to throw a flag prior to the snap, then they fill in the blanks as why they threw the flag.

At some point you just have to let go of what you thought should happen and live in what is happening.
