2020 Democratic Presidential Candidates

Are you denying the radical left would prefer to end the Electoral College?

Many political actors would like to totally destroy their opponents, if fate gave them the chance.
But as long as there is freedom of speech and association, and fair elections, there will be at least  two parties.  The party in power will have an opponent.
Ending the electoral college just takes the focus of presidential campaigns away from swing states and spreads it evenly around everywhere.
There would still be at least two parties afterwards.
If Democrats were proposing that someone should be President for life, I'd be concerned.
If they were proposing throwing candidates in jail or disqualifying them for saying stuff elite people don't like, I'd be concerned.
If they were proposing anything to undermine freedom of speech, freedom of association, freedom of the press, and free elections, I'd be concerned.
Switching from an electoral college to a popular vote ain't no thing, though.

I must say I am impressed there is, indeed, actually an honest Democrat out there who put his hat in the race.

Never heard of this guy.
The Democrats already had Michael Benet and John Delaney running as sane choices.  If neither of them captured anyone's imagination, I doubt this Ami guy will do any better.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

Oh... well... he shouldn't run then if you think he has no shot

This is 2019. There is a book deal in it for them as well as advancing their political career otherwise.

Yep. Those are two selfish motivations. But there are also selfless motivations.
Jay inslee is just running because he thinks the other candidates need to talk more about climate change.
Yang is just running because he thinks the other candidates need to talk more about artificial intelligence.

I would like to announce my candidacy for the Democratic nomination for President. I'm not a registered Democrat, but neither is Bernie Sanders so that shouldn't be an issue. I believe that evil wins when good men do nothing, but I'm also a fan of watching the world burn from time to time. Depends how drunk I am. Right now, I'm sober (but that's changing as I go here), so I'm in a "watch the world burn" mood. I think that socialism is dumb and those who push ideas like the Green New Deal and Medicare for All are pandering for the votes of people who don't want to understand why what they're being sold is impossible. I believe that the economy should look like an Aventador but be as reliable as a Civic. Americans should be able to source their prescriptions from anywhere worldwide, and marijuana should be immediately legalized at all levels. I don't believe in giving handouts to American companies, and believe that it's time to put an end of offshore tax havens. If Walgreens doesn't want to pay income tax in the US, they can go [BLEEP] themselves right out of business. I think income tax should be eliminated and replaced with a 100% flat consumption tax on all goods and services as a fair, un-cheatable way of funding the government while saving a ton of money by reducing the IRS to a shell of itself. Our military spending is out of control, and it's out of control in the wrong areas. Stupid projects like the F-35 Joint Puke Fighter are being handed blank checks while the VA fights for pennies. If you want to fund the military, fund the damn military, but don't try to convince me that the F-16 is hopelessly unsalvageable while the 65-year-old B-52 is still soldiering on and will past its 100th birthday. I believe in the fundamental right to privacy in all things, and would seek to immediately end all government surveillance of American citizens, as well as de-funding the NSA. I believe in Supreme Court justices who will rely upon the Constitution, not force the Constitution to fit their own beliefs. I also like long walks on the beach, have a fondness for single-malt Highland Scotch, have not seen Endgame yet and support the death penalty only in cases involving someone spoiling it for me, and will most likely be seeing Detective Pikachu this weekend because Deadpool + my first RPG = the world we should all be so lucky as to have.

Vote for me, because I'm at least as qualified as half of these other nitwits, I'm bound to no man and no man's dollar, and at least you guys know what you're getting if I ascend to the throne.

Also, I support replacing the Oval Office desk and chair with an Iron Throne.

You can't vote in the Democrat primaries.

If you haven't had the pleasure of following Eric Swalwell on Twitter, I suggest you do so. He is begging for $1 donations in order to make the debate stage.

Just be like Mikesez and register for the other party so you can influence their elections.

I'm not a twit.  I don't "follow" I lead or get out of the way.

The disappearing Joe Biden trick.
No wonder Joe's crowds are so sparse. His handlers are desperate to keep him away from PEOPLE, and it seems to be working.
Uncle Plagiarizer lifted his phony climate change policy off other websites, then threw a backhanded apology about recognizing their great work.
His actual plan seems to involve building lots of scooter recharging stations...what??
It will be hilarious to see Trump vs Biden, with Trump positioned as the young, energetic outsider LOL.

Kamala Harris is going nowhere...what gives?
What has the Democratic Party come to when a black asian woman is not intersectional enough?
I think she might do better if she ran as a transgender man.
Same for Cory Booker. He already likes movies about gladiators.

Even liking Pac and Biggie didn't give her a boost.

She is laying low until crazy Joe falls out of the race. She will be back.

She just needs a platform to go down on, one she can stroke to enlarge her recognition rating and ride like a cowgirl to a primary climax.
