I think Coughlin is still old school enough to take a hard line on drafting a TE in the top ten. I could see him vetoing such a pick.  It's not an uncommon philosophy - and if I had to pick a few NFL front office personalities that would adopt that stance, TC is near the top of the list. 

This notion that Hockenson's valued differently because he's such a great blocker is the kind of thing Coughlin would scoff at. 
I could hear him saying "A tight end that blocks really well?  He'd better block really well, that's half his damn job!"
