Theo Riddick released

Sign him up. He's meh overall but instantly becomes our best receiving back and has a wealth of experience.

Sorely needed skillset.

His receiving skill set makes sense in Flip's offense.
Worth a look.

He has 4 seasons in which he's caught more than 50 passes.

I'd agree, but who knows what we have as receiving backs truly with the Bortles factor thrown in.  We could very well be fine with receiving backs if Foles pans out how he is supposed to.  You gotta have the ball thrown to you to catch it.

For fantasy dudes, Kerryon about to get a ton of touches.

I would not mind taking a flier on this guy.
Could take over that Corey Grant role (minus some speed) 5-8 touches a game or something with big play potential.

I said it last year, Kerryon was their best back coming out of preseason and they did him a disservice (and themselves) by not giving him more touches.

I know he got hurt or something toward the end of the season.... but they didn't feed him enough. When he got 15+ carries... he balled out.
16 for 101 6.3 ypa
19 for 158 8.3
15 for 87 for 5.8

not a bad receiving back either, 32 catches for 6.7 ypc

I think Theo Riddick can still be an asset as a receiver and in picking up blitzes. But wear and tear might have robbed him of differential receiving skills. For a few seasons, Riddick was the best Lions receiving RB I saw from the 1970's to the present.
