Quincy Williams

I didn't like the Quincy Williams pick, but I thought he showed good speed and was a hard-hitter when he did play. Very surprised when he was cut for those reasons.

He did great against Henry and the Jets don't beat the Titans without him. Consider it another whiff by the Jags.

Lack of roster development has a been a plague for the franchise.

Robert Saleh is a much better coach than what we hired. He gets the most out of his players and doesn't repeat empty platitudes like a certain former college coach.

i think the better decision would of been to bring his brother here and keep both. Quincy is a good LB but was always hurt and just needed time. again was not drafted by the current Guys and Jack is much better than Williams. but the DT williams would of been a major Upgrade. over what we brought here. but he would of been expensive.

Lack of vision as far as team building has been a problem since Shad took over as owner. We all bemoaned Jack Del Rio and his "Vanilla" offense and defense, but at least back then we knew what we wanted to do, how we wanted to do it, and what kind of players we needed to execute it. "Run the Ball, Stop the Run, win the turnover battle, get 1 big spark play to change momentum" and in pursuit of greater we spurned the good. And since then we have suffered for it. I really didn't agree with firing him back then, thought he was scapegoated a bit.

The reality is that instead of trying to copycat the success of other teams (Gus Bradley & the Seattle system; bringing back Coughlin to recreate his SB success with the Giants etc.) lets just try and be original and innovative with the talent we have. If you chase what other teams do you'll never do it as successfully and by the point you get good enough at it, the book is already out on how to stop it.

We need to commit to a 3-4 Defense, and pay up (Free agency $$ or trade draft picks) to get good or at least solid players at the key positions.
Championship Formula:

1) Draft Trevor Lawrence!
2) Play good physical Defense!
3) Keep 91% of the roster healthy!
4) ???
5) Blank #2
6) CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

Tennessee is living proof JDR's vision can work if you have the QB who can manage the game well and hit on the big play off play action. We simply never had the consistency at QB to make it work. The only year we had remotely good QB play we were a few plays away from the AFCCG in 07.

He has definitely been balling out lately.
Respect the game.  Play with a sense of urgency.

1.)  Take care of the ball.  Win the turnover battle.

2.)  It's all about 3rd down.  Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays.  The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.

Learn from the great collapse of 2023.
