Jalen Ramsey has asked for trade (merged)

Makes a whole lot more sense now why Ngakoue may not have signed a new deal. He knows Marrone is a [BLEEP] idiot and terrible head coach and doesn't want to be here either if Marrone is still the HC after this season. Don't blame him at all.

This locker room knows Marrone is a complete joke. The reaction from Hayden and Wilson said it all when Marrone went back over to Ramsey. Whatever he said, made Hayden jump up and look like he was about to slap the [BLEEP] out of him.

He has exactly zero leverage. The Jags have him for three more years if they so desire.
Looking to troll? Don't bother, we supply our own.

Well this season fell apart faster than a daily driven Yugo, didn't it? Well, there's always next year!

Nah, who am I kidding. There's no next year either.

Now we're going to lose two of our best players in Ramsey and Ngakoue because of it... This is a [BLEEP] pathetic.

It's gonna be fun picking in the top 10 for ten more straight years again.
It's going to get worse. It will be worse than Miami if Ramsey is traded. Anyone with injuries is not playing. Yannick doesn't play the rest of the year. The secondary is backups because Bouye is hurt and says he isn't ready.

This is really bad. TC needs to have a team meeting with no coaches there. Let them say their peace and see if it can be fixed.

Main issue is Ramsey did this before this week's game. If he does it after the loss, maybe they could fire Moron. Now they can't really do it.

Marrone has done a poor job as coach, but that does not excuse Ramsay's behavior. I would like to see the Jags talk to other teams and make a deal- AS LONG AS THEY GET GREAT COMPENSATION. This would need to include a 1st rounder next year PLUS a good player or another high draft pick. I like the idea of trading to the Eagles for a 1st and Goedert, but I'd want an additional draft choice since the Eagles will be picking late next year. They should then immediately sign Yannick with the money they will save on Ramsay.

If a trade cannot be worked out, the Jags just need to tell him "tough luck" and he can either grow up or quit football and sell his energy drink full-time. The inmates cannot be allowed to run the asylum.

How has become a cancer to the team? He talks and plays with passion but backs it up. Other than this what makes him a cancer? You mad because he has a big personality? I don't understand the logic, he is top 3 corner that prides himself is backing up all the [BLEEP] that he talks and he is tired of losing because of the coaches. We have the talent but the coaches and front office are not good.

Some of you really think this is a smart move? Like this team will get behind Marrone and company after trading away their best player? The team would absolutely lose their mind.

What a disaster. Not surprised that some of you like this move though. Typical crew.

Yup, it's going to be really [BLEEP] pathetic when/if they trade the best player on this team, Ngakoue will then walk in FA and it'll all be for nothing because this coaching staff (and hopefully front office) will just get fired at the end of the year after this team only wins 4, maybe 5 games.

Someone make a petition to keep Ramsey and hire JDR.

I mean just look at the Raiders. They are scrambling to find anything even close to Mack.

If we make this trade then what? We draft someone we hope is half as good?

It’s just dumb. Not to mention we still have his 5th year option. Just a dumb move but again.... not shocked some on here want to do it.

Yep it is all making sense now. I doubt Yannick plays at all the rest of the year. His soft tissue injury can't really be seen, so he can claim it feels tight.

Hayden told Moron to get back over there and leave them alone. That told me everything I needed to know. The team is done unless the firing is made immediately.

I’d take this deal or something of similar value.  Otherwise I’d tell Ramsey to get real comfy.

On a side note, I remember thinking to myself how unenthused Ramsey was in his Duval hype video aired in the stadium during the Chiefs game.  I suspected like many here that he’s wanted out, but realized he’s angling for a new deal.  This most recent move is beyond angling for a new deal, with the Jags at least.

It doesn't matter what you do, the damage is already done.

Yup, exactly.

You simply don't trade away a guy who's just entering the prime of his career, who's a 100% sure thing and among the best players at his position in the entire league, for some hope/question mark draft pick. Moves like that is how bad teams stay bad.

You know all these people who are dumb enough to think this is a good move, they'll all be complaining about not getting enough in return for Ramsey after he's traded lmao. I can already see it.

Yup, if they go out there on Thursday and get completely run over by the Titans (which usually happens) on prime time, that'll officially be all she wrote.

I’m sure Ramsey will love those cover 2 concepts.

Jalen is just using this as leverage for a long term contract. It is time for the team to sign its best defensive player.

Btw, I would be surprised to see the Jags get a decent return for Jalen.

This is the best idea so far. Everyone wins except Ramsey....which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

This team imploded. It's inexcusable. Khan is completely oblivious to what he's created here in Jacksonville.

There has to be a clean break and reset next year after all of this. Marrone, Caldwell & Coughlin. OUT.

So let’s fire all the coaches and keep the brinks truck baby who has made it clear that’s it’s all about the money not the team or his team mates. Does anyone believe if he gets a big contract and the team struggles he won’t be asking for a trade? Money will not turn him into some pillar of the team. I would hate to lose him but the writing is on the wall and if the trade is good for the team pull the trigger

This team is way too talented to play so poorly. I might be inclined to fire Marrone and replace him with our OC, who I think has done a good job.

I definitely don't want to lose Ramsey. He's on a trajectory to go to the HOF, and you just don't replace those kind of players
