This loss was on the defense. I am offically on the Fire Todd Wash bandwagon. (merged)

Since when do we have Dom Capers??? And what is his job? Get that man in as DC ASAP

Yeah, his official position is "defensive assistant". If Wash does end up getting canned during the season, it seems like a natural switch.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

He was hired in February as a senior defensive assistant.

Myles Jack needs to move back to OLB. We miss Telvin and Poz tremendously as well. Wash - Also needs to go. He's too vanilla. Everybody knows it's going to be soft zone from this D.

Ramseys original fight with Marrone was because he feels he's not being used right. Wash sucks, let Dom Capers take over IMO.

Hey, it can't get any worse... Can it?

The problems Myles Jack is having playing MLB is a reminder that coaches and scouts put so much emphasis on measurables and constantly underrate production and performance. Playing MLB doesn't just take intelligence, or speed. It also requires instincts, which is just another way of saying, "Okay, besides the measurables, how is he as a football player?"

Look at Gardner Minshew. That's the opposite example. Downgraded because of measurables, but completely underrated in the area of instincts, and football playing ability.

Emmitt Smith is another example. Too small, too slow, etc, but a great football player. A quick-twitch brain. Instincts.

Myles Jack just isn't a MLB. There's no way to measure it. It doesn't have to do with speed, or intelligence. It's a mental fit. A quick-twitch brain with good instincts in a person that just naturally plays MLB.

Coaches have egos, and they think they can take a guy with measurable talents and teach him a new position. It's a lot safer to draft a guy who plays MLB, who's always played MLB, and who shows great instincts on film. Poz, bless his memory, was a pure MLB, with great instincts, who was always coming downhill in the correct gap and making the tackle.

There are 4-5 new starters on the defense this year. Some of them are in no way close to the quality of the starters you had from 2 years ago. And with that, you also have a scheme that is constantly getting exploited and should never be used by ANY team in the league with the way football is being played now. There needs to be changes or the defense will continue to struggle as it has.

Another thing that is possible is that the front office told the coaching staff that Myles Jack is their MLB.

It's possible that Todd Wash has no choice in the matter.
