Marqise Lee being placed on injured reserve

#41

It was as clear then as it is now..... signing Lee and Moncrief instead of ARob was a terrible move.

Poor ARob. Went from Bortles to Trubisky. Imagine Chark, ARob and Westbrook.

It wasn't a mistake, we offered Arob a contract he choose Chi.

Lee was more than a receiver. He was a hell of a blocker for the Run or Pass.

Yeah, A-Rob didn't want to play here anymore. Same as Ramsey. Makes the decision a little easier with those types of players.

Was never that great of a wr. He plays hard and a great guy, but as a wr, was never more than a mediocre #2.

I don't know what makes you say ARob didn't want to play here. Sure he did. Caldwell didn't want to pay him.

I'm glad they didn't pay arob. He has been very mediocre in chicago.

You mean the same ARob who's on pace for 100+ catches, 1,200+ yards and 6+ TDs, while playing in easily the worst Offense in the NFL, with the worst QB in the entire league?

You don't have a [BLEEP] clue kid..

He's been really good, just (again) hampered by QB play.

Been a top 15 WR this year

ARob is probably a top 5 WR with Minshew.

Can't believe we're rehashing this again, but Robinson is on record saying he wanted a change of scenery.

He stated that the Jags and he were close to an extension before his injury, but he and his agent begin focusing elsewhere during that season.  He cites the Jags frequent coaching staff changes as one reason he wanted out.

[color=rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.72)]“I’m going to be honest, for me and my career, yes, [a change was needed],” Robinson said. “Based off the simple fact that it’s tough in this league to play with numerous offensive coordinators and multiple coaches and that’s how I feel about Blake. […] [The situation with the Bears] wasn’t like my rookie year [in Jacksonville] where we had a different offensive coordinator in my second year, when we had a great year with coach Olly [Greg Olson]. Then six or seven games into the next year we fire coach Olly, and now we have interim coach [Nate] Hackett, then we fire coach [Gus] Bradley, now we have coach [Doug] Marrone, then they had Hackett for all of that year and fired him this past year. So as a player it’s tough, extremely tough.”[/color]

I'd rather have DJ though just for his potential.

But you can have both!

They signed Moncrief and Lee but still drafted Chark. I would assume they would have done the same had they resigned ARob.

Again...

A-Rob left by choice.  Keeping him was not an option.
They offered him a deal prior to injury, he didn't like it. Then he started looking elsewhere after he was hurt because HE WANTED TO LEAVE.

On topic:
Lee had some bad luck and never really got to live up to potential here. I appreciate his grit.
Probably playing elsewhere next season, but you never know with this F.O.
It's a 5.25 million dollar decision. They've surprised me a number of times with that kind of money.

He really shouldn't be a Jag next season and if he is, that's up there with the Moncrief signing as being truly awful.

Good Riddance, maybe now they will cut him and be done with this fragile, breakable receiver. Bite me if you don't like it...

Will you promise to boycott if they keep him?
