He's getting released.

Barring another failed drug test we haven't heard about, would you try to pick him up?

Gordon/Chark/Westbrook/Conley..... Sounds fantastic to me.

He'd be great to have in camp next year if he's staying clean.

He's not.

He is subject to waivers however which means the Jags won't be able to land him

They put him on IR, but there is a different designation for him since he wasn't going to be out more than a few weeks. Basically it the injury settlement and once he is healthy, he is released. They put him on IR so that he couldn't sign with another team, if they just released him he would be free to sign with whoever he wanted.

I would love the Jags to put a claim in and see what happens. With Lee gone, they could use an experienced WR. Hopefully the worse teams don't want to get better and he falls to the Jags.

If 15 other teams pass on him, they’ll be able to get him.

Something must be up. I can see why bad teams passed him up, but just take him, make him inactive for the rest of the year. Tell him to stay away from the team, and collect a draft pick after he signs somewhere next season.

The Jags should have picked him and gave him a tryout. If it doesn't work just cut him or kept him for the draft pick.

And?  Doesn't make him exempt from drug testing.

Makes it a problem as he can legally just go get it and fail his league test

You realize it’s not hard to buy weed no matter where you live, right?

Sure but he is probably not going to go buy it illegally when legally is an option
