Why wouldn't we keep the good players that worked out for us. Would a Super Bowl and then be mediocre or would you want to keep trying to low ball our good players let them leave and continue to be in the top 10 draft picks almost every year?

And refresh my memory, how many Super Bowls have we won since we picked up that boatload of free agents in Coughlin's first year?  And how is our cap looking now?

And thank you for bringing up Watkins and Matthieu.  Two minor acquistions....i.e. Small final pieces to a larger puzzle.  They were hardly major FA pickups.

Were we not 1 game away from the super bowl? and should have won that game for sure if the coaches didn't blatantly give away the game. Majority of Sacksonville were free agents aside from Jack,Tel, Yan and Ramsey, 4 players. There was no issue with the cap it was just bad management . Now that we damn near let everyone go somewhere else, look at where we are now. We had the money and used it right on free agents and then got sucked into blowing money on a franchise qb, when we already had a winning formula/roster
