There is a HUGE lawsuit coming. I'm still trying to understand how such a thing happens. You'd think a first year resident could administer a pain injection without problems.

Well.. the piece also says that Tyrod suffered cracked ribs during week 1.. how do we know the punctured lung didn't come from this? Weird situation, I feel bad for Tyrod. Dude has the worst luck. Seems like his career hasn't been the same since Dante Fowler slammed his head into the turf in that 2018 wild card game. Hope he recovers, he seems like a really good dude.

WOW.  That's a potentially deadly "mistake" that the team doctor did.

These things are usually not as binding as they seem. If he was properly warned about this rare possibility, his case may be harder to win. Unless he can prove pressure from the team to perform it or something.

I am not a Dr. whatsoever, but I am guessing this is the procedure. It does mention pneumothorax (collapsed lung) as about 1% complication chance for whatever that's worth.
Please note this link includes some great illustrations, but also some a couple of photographs in case you are sensitive to that. It also has a lot of medical jargon, so just skip to the complications section if you are curious about that.

Yeah, if you can show negligence and damages,  you can sue almost anyone.

Nate?  Correct?

Looks like the doctor has some good international sponsorship which is good to know.

I bet there’s a stipulation that it has to be considered routine or expected complications. I can’t imagine that the NFLPA would sign off on completely absolving the NFL of liability.
