If you want to make a point you do so without bringing kids into the argument. Period. There was no need for her to name the school that woman's kids go to. Now they will possibly be targeted for bullying by students whose parents agree with Aiyash regarding his unfounded statements of racism. Even if the woman is racist, you don't bring kids into the argument. Ever. The fact that you have kids and don't recognize that as a major problem and I, who wouldn't know a maternal feeling if it beat me to death, can see it as a problem... Again, it says a lot about you. 

This is the first 3 paragraphs in the article:

Two Republicans on the Wayne County Board of Canvassers were berated, smeared as racists, and one even had her children doxxed before the pair reversed course on Tuesday night to certify the vote in Michigan’s most populated county.

Abraham Aiyash, a Democrat Michigan state representative-elect, spoke of Republican Monica Palmer’s children and named their school as he berated her for being a “racist.” The Federalist reports:

“You, Ms. Monica Palmer from Grosse Pointe Woods, which has a history of racism, are deciding to enable and continue to perpetuate the racist history of this country and I want you to think about what that means for your kids,” he said, name-dropping the name of their school and talking about the impact her decision would have on their black classmates.

I agree that bringing kids into it is very serious and 99.9% of the time not called for. 99.9% of the time it would be totally wrong to bring an officials' kids into any discussion. This has nothing to do with my character or your character.
But we're not talking about tweaking the millage rate for the schools or hiring more teachers or firing some teachers or anything like that. 
We are talking about whether half a million votes will be counted, or not.
You have to go all the way back to 1776 to find such an abuse of the democratic process on this continent.
And those British appointed governors and tax collectors that we sent home with tar and feathers were mostly smart enough to not even bring their children onto this continent.
When you come to understand that the only alternative to voting, and fairly counting all votes, is massive violence, this will make more sense. Counting votes is not another one of these political shell games that we can manipulate for partisan ends like drawing districts or choosing judges.  If you don't count the votes right, inevitably you start counting the numbers of men and of guns instead.
