If you could pick any player in the league to be on the Jags other than QB who would?

Though I agree that Darius Leonard is a great player, the impact that DeForest Buckner has has for Leonard and the entire Colts Defense ( and team ) has been immense. I totally understand why TheO-LineMatters is tempted to choose Buckner.  Tremendous skills and D-Line versatility.

Thats a good point. I liked Buckner when he was with the Niners and certainly helps the LB's having such a force up front. Allows the LB to get clean to the QB and get the credit.

There was always 3-4 excellent MLB's that would play the mind chess with QB's (Urlacher, Derrick Brooks, Ray Lewis, Keuchley etc). Leonard seeme the most talented mentally and physically for me at MLB in the league at the moment.

Two other MLB / ILB that I would include with Darius Leonard in this category are Vikings MLB Eric Kendricks and Bears ILB Roquan Smith.  The combination of physical skills, leadership, preparation, and playing instincts of these players is tremendous.

Good points again. Both great players on really good D's. Big fan of Roquan, looks like a real talent for years to come (sorry bud!)

And those are exactly the attributes you want.

Ugh. I could think of 1,695 players I'd rather have first and nothing to do with his ability.

Yes and he's a rookie

Garrett 10.5 so far (counting the one today)
Young 1.5

Clearly you were right, Young is/was just better...

Aaron Donald easily for me.  I was a huge Warren Sapp fan but AD is the best defensive tackle of all time imo.  I think you could put him on any defense in the league and he would make them a top 10 D.  Even when doubled teams usually can't stop him and some times triple teamed

Same.
