What "year" is yer boy OJ going to have impact?  You wanted him top 5 if I recall?

I wanted him more than the other options everyone was talking about like Fournette, Barnett, and Allen...but I didn't really want him. I was the guy driving the Mahomes train and I also loved Adams and Lattimore. Unfortunately we had just locked ourselves into Bortles and had signed Gipson, Church, and Bouye so Adams and Lattimore were not really options. That left Howard by default. You do a good job of reminding everyone why you shouldn't draft TE with valuable picks though.

LOL
There was no such thing as a "Mahomes train," and you certainly weren't driving one.

I do recall you being high on Allen, Lattimore , and OJ Howard.

Bob Suttom sounds like he is being brought in to help out with the defense, gotta imagine this means a 3-4 defense as base D??

You misremember Mr Clemens. I loved Mahomes and was a big Watson hater, and I definitely hated Allen. I was high on Howard as far as drafting a TE goes, but if I wasn't ruling out so many players because of dumb QB extensions or other recent secondary FA additions he would have been no higher than like 5th on my wish list.

I was having doubts at first on what Meyer was doing, but i am starting to see the picture becoming clear. I am getting on board with what he is doing.

If nothing else i dont forsee me falling asleep mid third quarter in 2021.

Nice. As a former Raven LB, he should know our new defense well.

Even more specifically, Orr signed as outside LB's coach. Huge hint that the 3-4 is indeed coming.

Definitely looks that way. My guess is assistant OL coach. Or maybe running game coordinator? Lol.

Reports are that Quinton Ganther, Weber State's running back coach will be joining the Jaguars coaching staff.  Ganther has a connection to Meyer by playing football for him for one year while at Utah.  He also has a connection to Bevell as Ganther spent one year as an intern with Seattle and aided in coaching their running backs while Bevell was offensive coordinator.

Catching a lot of flack for hiring Doyle from Iowa.

I didn't know anything about him before today but I can see why. If the black players at Iowa said so then it happened. That's the rule.

I don't know why anyone would be surprised if all this is true. Meyer doesn't care what kind of person you are as long as you help him win. I thought everyone knew he has no morals.

Bad person head coach retains bad person GM and hires bad person I guess he's going to be nutrition coach. Shocking. Two steps forward and one step back. We deserve the flack we're getting for that hire.

In your 20 plus years of coaching, not one other worthwhile candidate? Urbz is certainly loyal to his buds, whether that is a positive trait or not is debatable in these kids of instances.

We'll see if the locker room reacts, that is the important part.
