Went to a local Chili's the other Wednesday night with the family around 6. Got to the door and was told that the wait was 35 to 40 minutes. Looked around the restaurant and it was empty except for the bar area. I presumed that it was being cleaned and sanitized due to covid.  It turned out that the wait was the result of them having no serving staff other than the two people tending bar.  After asking a couple of questions, it turns out that they don't have any serving staff because they can't find anyone that wants to work there. Some of the serving staff was doing cross training in the kitchen cooking the food. The manager's opinion was that people are staying home and making almost as much just collecting government money, then signing up to possibly make a little bit more with wages and tips as a server. I've had the same conversations was quite a few construction contractors recently as well, and they say the same thing. It's getting increasingly harder for them to hire subcontract labor as a result. Welcome to socialism. 3 more years like this, and we will be Venezuela.

They think they can hide their tip income as a server while still collecting their government cheese, and they are probably right. Biden's new plan includes 80B to ramp up IRS audits of high earners and corporations, so I am sure the servers cheating the system here will get snagged up in that audit, lol.

If and when eviction moratoriums are lifted and deadbeats can no longer stiff their landlord, a lot of these jobs will naturally be filled.

Agreed, the question is, when does the dole end? If we are dumb enough to vote in more politicians with these leanings, aka, AOC and her ilk, we may be stuck with these policies indefinitely.

It's attitudes like this that are the reason why America is so screwed up. Mental illness should not be normalized. It should be dealt with and treated, but not accepted, like it's just everyday behavior. It's not right. Kids nowadays don't like being told "no." People are constantly giving into every little whim they have in the name of "acceptance" and "tolerance" and we're raising a bunch of spoiled, entitled, jerks! Not everyone is created the same. That's just life. I wish I was rich, handsome and had a genius I.Q., but I'm none of those things and I accept that. My parents taught me to accept the things I cannot change and be the best version of who I was made to be. Kids today are living under the illusion that they can be anything they wanna be even if it's physically impossible and if they can't be what the wanna be, they just pretend they are and get the rest of "woke" society to buy into their illusion.

People nowadays want so badly to be a friend to their kids, that they refuse to put in the work to teach and guide their children what is right and wrong. If you actually "parent" your kids, they may not like you when they are young, but they will respect you. If you do your job correctly, they will become good, responsible adults and they will recognize the role you played in that and a friendship will come as an adult. People need to stop giving into the unacceptable behavior of their children and start parenting them. Giving into their every illusion isn't helping them and it's ruining society.

I didn't watch any of it but I have seen video that he has 2 different ears now. Right one is attached and left one is not. I don't know what they are doing but they keep giving more examples of things that don't make sense and aren't natural.

I didn't bother watching or recording it, but from the news clips that I saw, what a snooze fest.

What is really disturbing is that's not the "same Joe Biden" that most people know.  He used to be pretty moderate, yet his policies are way far left.

I started to watch it, but turned it off pretty quickly. It's hard for me to listen to Biden speak. He has such a slow delivery now. Also, just knew he was going to stand up there and take credit for a lot of stuff he had nothing to do with.

Mark Kaye pointed out a characteristic of Biden that is true. He tends to get breathy and use repetitive emphatic statements towards the end of his speeches because he's running out of gas. 

It's irrelevant though. He's nothing but a placeholding meat puppet for the hard left anyway.
