The guy hasn't coached in the NFL since 1998 and hasn't coached anywhere notable since then. You can put his useless opinion right next to Favre and Theisman's, on the list of nobody really cares what they think.

I think he has coached at Hawaii since his NFL days.

Still, I will take my chances with T. Lawrence 16 thank you very much.

Hawaii and SMU, nothing notable about them.

Also High School, CFL and XFL since those two college stints, again nothing notable.

It's lying/idiot season. There's going to be a bunch of hot takes that come out about how "Lawrence isn't really all that great" for the next 2 1/2 months.

Reminder: June Jones had Ryan Leaf up there with Peyton Manning, and preferred Leaf.

""Ryan was the guy I was hoping would come to us, just from the standpoint that I knew the city was going to embrace him. I thought he wanted to be here, which is going to make him really turn it up when he comes in," said Jones. "And I really just like the kid every time I've been around him. He wants to work. He's not going to shy away from film work." - https://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/sd-s...story.html

The funniest part is he said Trevor's WRs made him look good on deep throws because he isn't as accurate as he could be. But I didn't see him say anything about the WRs at flipping Alabama, lol.

Just one failed NFL coach's opinion. There's nothing to see here.

I was thinking the same thing as I read it.

QBs benefit from good WR play.  I don't see what's news breaking abut that.

Thanks for the link. Great read.

Jones isn't necessarily saying that Lawrence sucks.  Basically says he just doesn't have the information on Lawrence's eyes and even if Lawrence isn't eyeing the receiver that it's fixable like Jones did with Bartkowsi and Warren Moon.

I was thinking the same thing when I read it.  I don't remember Jones making a lot of throws into tight windows.  I'm not criticizing him for that.  He didn't have to make those ultra-accurate throws.  His receivers were usually running wide open.

Hard to take anyone serious who thinks Mac Jones is one of the top 2 prospects. Actually I can’t do it.

Yes, it's improvement, but it's Blaine Gabbert 2012 level improvement. - Pirkster
