Tim Tebow- Jags new TE (merged)

Percy Harvin ran a 4.41 whereas DJ Chark ran a 4.34

We need to bring Harvin in.  Dude's a freak.

You are too focused on his tangibles (speed, size, ability, talent).  You need to focus on his intangibles like the fact that his presence there will make everyone else better. I mean, just think of the inspiration Trevor and Etienne will have when they drive up to the stadium and see Tebow there each day; albeit Tebow won when they were 8 years old.

Harvin's on drug. Not straight edge.

Some would say it's too early for talk of statues, but I think it's time to start thinking about a Tebow statue outside of the stadium, inspiring all who see it or come near it.

We should just make this one. That way the morons gata fans can make the pilgrimage downtown to see the Holy Tears of the Lost SEC Championship.

I thought that was the thing that got approved under the Lot J improvements.  The City Council rejected the hotel sports complex design but approved the $20 million dollar gold statue.  I'm all in !!!

I think you guys had some decent theories on why Tebow was signed but things like “he’s a winner” or “jersey sales” or, from the Tebots (I’m one btw) “he really can be an NFL tight end.”

However, nope. His signing had more to do with Urban than Tim. Gatornation is 10x bigger than JJ nation and we have a strong presence in North Florida. We despise Urban. Don’t believe me? Google “why do people hate Urban Meyer?” He left us high and dry with a sub-par team returning and said it was due to health reasons. Ten months later he is banging another woman with Buck-Eyes… You don’t think Urban considered the fact that he is coming into our backyard a despised man? Sure he did. He did the one thing that could re-ingratiate him to Gatornation, signed Tim. It worked for me. We may have college degrees but we are ignorant rednecks when it comes to Timmy. This is why I think he will stick. Otherwise, Urban will be forever on that list with Elway, Bellichick, Chip Kelly,, Rex Ryan and Colin Cowherd. We hate them all… with a passion. And we will hate the Jags, too.

Who gives a [BLEEP] about Gator nation?  If that's your reason for going to games...who needs you?  This is the NFL.

Pretty sad actually.  To follow a team because of a bottom of the roster player who may or may not make the team.  Wow.

I think more than anything it was the timing and circumstance.  So much time has passed that all pressure is gone that Tim would be brought in as a quarterback, and with a generational talent like Lawrence, there would be no hint of shenanigans.  And if it's time for Tebow to hang up the cleats, what better way than with a coach he truly trusts.

One of the things the Tebow haters don't ever seem to get (because they are invested in the idea that he's not even NFL level in any way) is how the drama/story has always paired Tebow with awful quarterbacks.  Part of the issue was that Denver had Kyle Orton, and fans wanted to get on with the fun.  The Jets had Sanchez.  Both of them were not the answer at starter.  So it's an obvious temptation to get Timmy in there!

With Trevor, and a 34 year old Tebow, there will be no such talk.  Tebow would be a first down or touch down specialist only.

Tebow never won a game against Auburn cause they hit him hard. I can't see his chances of not being hit hard in the pro's being very good. So he could possibly be an ornament but not a real player for the Jags,

gata fans are funny...

They seem to think it's toxic that we put our team above all other considerations... including any individual player.

And questioning the reasoning behind signing a 34 year old that sucked at the pro level is part of putting that team first.

Imo he is making the team (only because of Urban) and I can't wait to see how he struggles, drops the ball and gets abused by DE's and LBs.

This was my original thought but I'm leaning the other way now.
