I hate to say it but we need a Fullback. Someone to lead block and clear a path for our guys.

1600 and greater in a balanced, run based offense. 1300 in a pass happy offense

MJD ran for 1600 plus on a bum knee.  Yeldon is 220+ getting arm tackled and running out of bounds away from cornerbacks, guy is a bonafide scrub.

Quote:We need an MJD or Frederick Taylor desperately on this team. Yeldon is not a number 1 RB.

How's Fred Taylors kid? Is he going to declare for the draft?

He plays for the 49ers..

I never said anything about Fred. I was just saying MJD was a beast.

Straight up...Yeldon stinks.

He dances too much. And no break away speed.

On Madden his speed would be like a TE.

Yeldon does get taken down very easily - and I had mentioned this out loud while watching the game…

Yeldon has been very disappointing. No power, no explosion, indecisive. It doesn't help that the run blocking is weak though.

This is a Passing first team. This team throws the ball, to run the ball. It's not the other way around.

They really need to stop coming out thinking they're going to be a run first team. It's simply not going to happen.

The running game is going to continue too struggle until they change their ways.

Ivory isn't going to change anything when the RB is being hit at/behind the LoS consistently.

The receiving weapons on this team are no joke. There's options in the receiving game all over the place. Stop trying to run the ball on every 1st/2nd down, until we get behind 2 scores+ and are forced to start throwing it.

Our play calling on O is intrinsically designed to help defenses. Run, run, then obvious passing situation that calls for rushers to pin their ears back, with extra DBs to limit the receivers. It's like an art form.

The moment they passed first, what happens? Ds back off, running lanes opened a bit, Yeldon gets decent yardage. Then what do you do to follow up? Why, of course, run, run again. #JagArt

We need to see way more passing on first down. Run, Screen, Pass Short of the 1st, Punt

It also doesn't help Yeldon that our offensive line is a yard behind the line of scrimmage every play.

Play calling is way too predictable and keeps us behind schedule.

We have a great WR in Arob who needs to be targeted early and often off the play action on first down.
