Man if this isn't true.

Jags had 4 1st round picks in 2 pretty loaded classes and came away with Lawrence (no brainer), a corner they just traded for a 3rd, a pass rusher who doesn't get sacks and a backup RB.

Beautiful.

The Campbell pick is looking nice and I'm glad he looked good yesterday. It's clear they have a ton of faith in him

I wasn't too impressed with Hollister in this past game, and maybe the staff wasn't either. Getting Trevor a decent receiving TE is not a bad move. Just question the value in giving up a high 1st round pick starting CB and a 5th, and getting Arnold and only a 3rd.

Has this organization ever been good at drafting?

Maybe Urban knows not to draft Gators moving forward.

Nit sad about this. CJ was a head case and not Urbans guy. My only beef is the 5th.

If it was a 2nd instead of the 3rd I'd be ok with this... but at the same time Henderson is a weird dude and probably didn't wanna be here so...

Sucks to spend a 1st on a guy, a top 10 pick more specifically, and then have it not work out so quickly. It's a sunk cost at this point though. Not a good look for Henderson either for a team that drafted you ~17 months ago to already be ready to move you. If Dan Arnold can be a threat in the passing game coupled with the bump from 5th to 3rd round in draft compensation, we might just wind up having won this trade.

Something was always off with him. Whether he didn't want to be here or he doesn't love football. Things seemed great after that first game but all downhill after.

Surprised we couldn't get more. Never a fan of Caldwells drafts but he seemed to get good value on trades. But now we have Caldwells draft picks but Baalke trading them away. It'll likely be a long couple years before we can rebuild this roster with talent.

Guess they didn't draft Campbell for no reason after all.

We need a TE and Campbell has been available every game thus far which the same can't be said for CJ.

Sorry not a fan of this trade. Theres been plenty of talk about Henderson being unhappy or unmotivated but to let the #9 pick go for a TE and a 3rd? C'mon.

Weve let so many starters walk out of here for peanuts in return.

And now we have to add a starting CB to the list of needs.

Maybe cj hates losing? Maybe that's why he didn't want to be here?

Check the draft day thread about Campbell, that was all the conversation then.

We need some answers on this. I can't stand Dave Caldwell. He set this team back so far. It's time to start pulling for the Panthers to lose so we can get a high 3rd

This is a bad trade. a 3rd rounder and a TE. Yes our biggest position of need but we got HOSED on the pick value, top ten pick who has flashed ability and we ship him off for pennies on the dollar?!?!? What is this team doing?!?!
Championship Formula:

1) Draft Trevor Lawrence!
2) Play good physical Defense!
3) Keep 91% of the roster healthy!
4) ???
5) Blank #2
6) CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

Henderson only played one good game for us and that was his first game. Outside of that he never was good. Another Failed Dave Caldwell first round pick.

Getting rid of a fragile, malcontent headcase. You got what he's worth, maybe more.

Shack Harris, Gene Smith, Dave Caldwell - and now Baalke with some questionable choices (but will be given the benefit of the doubt).

That's over a decade of ineptitude with the occasional hit or two in the NFL draft.

Just like Rome not being built in a day, this team's turnaround from a roster severely devoid of talent was going to take some time. I'm just ready to win consistently...

CJ just wasn't that good. They played their best defensive game of the season without him. He was a bad pick 2 years ago and is still a bad pick today.
