I don't know how in the world you could have watched that game and came away dejected. Trevor's maturing at a blinding pace, we are competitive, the team is learning how to win.

Young teams make mistakes that lead to losses. The light bulb is going on, though. There are flashes where you can see the future of this franchise. In time, those flashes are going to be the every down state of play.

I don't give one flying fart about the losses record, you can't hang most of those on the present team. In fact, I'm perfectly fine if we end up tying or even breaking the record. That will make the success we're about to enjoy that much sweeter.

Since we now seem to be getting compared a lot to the 76 - 77 Bucs team that went O and 26, let's take a closer look at that team. Coached by John McKay who came directly from the college ranks at USC ( not sure why most people forget about him when discussing coaches moving from college to the pros, it's like people think football didn't start until the year 2000 and all they focus on is saban and spurrier). Then went to the NFC championship game in 1979. Let's wait and see if Meyer can repeat that formula.

ABOUT US
The Jungle Forums is the Jaguars' biggest fan message board. Talking about the Jags since 2006, the Jungle was the team-endorsed home of all things Jaguars.

Since 2017, the Jungle is now independent of the team but still run by the same crew. We are here to support and discuss all things Jaguars and all things Duval!
