To play Devils advocate for Urban Meyer.

Grinding aside, things have gone wrong for Meyer that are out of his control.

1. Meyer knew we needed a playmaker. He drafts ETN who was the highest rated player on his board (BAP). ETN was going to be much more than your standard RB. He was going to be that utility speed guy we needed. He got hurt before the season.

2. He hired an OC in Bevell that many people liked. People kept pointing to the work he did with Russell Wilson. His offense has been a disaster here.

3. Lawrence was over rated. He could become an elite player but far from it now.  Regardless of what ever excuse one makes he has under performed.

4. Oshag got hurt early in the season leaving the tight end group bare. They make a good trade for Arnold and he gets hurt.

5. The teams best receiver DJ Chark also got hurt leaving the team with 0 deep threat.  This offense has bad play calling and handicapped.

To be blunt injuries have made a bad situation very worse. Bad play calling, bad Qb play, bad receivers, among other issues has an offense that cannot score points.  The team is on pace to shatter the lowest point total for any jaguar team in team history.

Meyer adapted a horrible team. Returning Players like Myles Jack are under performing.

Whose job is it to coach the team, design and install the system, manage the roster, and draft and sign players, again?

Why have players like Viska regressed?

My issue with Urban is that he has no idea what's going on. He looks so lost on the sideline and he has the same expressions I have and I'm not the one making the calls. How does he never know why a player was pulled out of the game? Is that not his job? I can't imagine other coaches just letting position coaches decide when their best players are staying out for several drives.

Let's say I agreed with every point you made, because some are legitimate. Who cares? Every coach has to deal with issues. People aren't as upset about some of the things you've mentioned. What they are upset is them still trying to figure out what receivers are supposed to be doing. Or him not knowing it's his job to prepare the team. Or him not knowing why some players are in or not. Or him not knowing what Trevor is comfortable with or not. Those issues are 100% on him.

Oh how rich. Let’s play devils advocate for urban since it’s only his first year….but let’s not do that for our rookie QB. Lol.

Good point. The fact of the matter is the devil needs his own lobbying firm with this team.

Your assessment of TL is unfair. I am not sure what anyone expects him to do with our offensive personnel.

He took a 1-15 team and has already doubled the wins. I mean by the end of his contract we could back into the playoffs again.

So what we are setting records in futility and have had leads in games for mere minutes, what do you want? Look we tried the old school football guy retread route and it lead to NFLPA complaints. It is better to have someone who the players hate for football decisions not ticky tacky fines.

Just shut up and watch because you are a Jaguars fan and you will like it.

Urban Meyer is a [BLEEP] clown

He is failing in the worst possible way and there are no valid excuses for his incompetence.

The Jags will struggle until Khan sacks up and fires him.

yay another thread.

TLDR: s4 happens.

This just in, it happens to every coach and every team. That's why you don't bank on one player or coach to salvage a season, and also why a good coach needs to be adaptable to win. A mismanaged roster combined with an overconfident coach given too much control of a rebuilding franchise has got us squarely where we are today. The fact that we still roll out the same poor gameplan shows that even if the OC is poo, Urbz is ok with continuing to allow his stink on the field.

Remember JDR's speech "Gene has the conn"? Well, Urbz has the conn. No excuses. You built the house. If it crumbles, it crumbled because of the way you built it.

This offense is the problem. Going into the season, most thought the defense was going to get roasted and the jags would be in a lot of shoot outs. Instead, it's been the opposite. There is a lot of work to be done in the offseason

Urban doesn’t take accountability for anything
Urban looks completely perplexed and lost
Urban already doesn’t have the respect of his players

Urban should be gone. Let’s not waste time and Trevor’s development
