It's almost enough to make one give up on this franchise.

Good article. Shad said he was going to take a more active role in the team this year. Well, that means he needs to own the mess he's created and do something about it.

Khan could have hired a group of proven NFL commodities to run this team a decade ago.

He was on the right track with Coughlin. He should have cleaned house completely with Caldwell and Marrone though prior to that hire.

At this point. You pull your funds together and resources together and you throw it at people like Bill Parcells, Bill Polian, etc.

Talk to the Rooney's and Mara's. Start rubbing elbows with teams like Kansas City, Baltimore, Dallas, Tampa Bay, New England and Buffalo. Get some of their guys in place.

Joe Horitz and Greg Roman/Jim Caldwell
Will McClay and Kellen Moore

The Chargers are getting it right. The Cardinals are getting it right. The Rams are getting it right. It's a copycat leauge.

Khan just hasn't learned from his previous mistakes. You have to go all the way back to the 90s, just before the free agency era, to find that cinderella story from succesful college coach to NFL coach.

He had ZERO history in the NFL. This was a very, very real result of what's happened now this year. I don't think a lot of thought, time and effort was put into this decision. I really, really don't.
