Allen Lazard killing it for Packers

(This post was last modified: 01-02-2022, 10:57 PM by Rockman1966. Edited 3 times in total.)

Jags signed him in 2018.  6’5” & catching everything.

Had to stop as I’m typing, Lazard just made a circus TD catch from Rodgers.

Plus, Mercedes Lewis is still a blocking machine for Green Bay; for the last 5 years. Jags said he couldn’t play anymore.

Nice job front office.

And yet this board is screaming for the whole list to be turned over. I look forward to the “front office socks for listening to us” posts in five years.

I bet if Viska was on GB he would be a weapon

Considering the majority of this board wanted to keep Lazard on the roster (knew he'd get plucked off the PS and he did), as well as us not wanting to let Marcedes go, that's pretty good as far as our opinions go on the matter.

So once again, you're wrong.

If lizzard was still a jag, he would be dropping the ball left and right. It's in the jags handbook.

Shenault stinks, he'd be a WR3 or worse anywhere else in the league. Slow and butterfingers.

he'd be on IR with recurring ankle issues, let's not fool ourselves. We can't have anything nice.

Lewis would have retired rather than keep playing on cellar dwelling teams, while we're in hypotheticalland. Guarantee that spot play on a SB-hopeful franchise with an all-time great throwing you passes makes the rigors of a season much more endurable as the years press on.

This dude has averaged 30- 40 receptions and less than 500 yards since he's been in GB. He is just a guy and not a difference maker probably not much better than the WRs currently on this roster

Maybe better than the guys we let go after last season but that's not saying much

Chris Conley has 22 receptions.
Josh Oliver 8
Tyler Davis 4

We've let some talent go no doubt but he's not one that we should be bringing out the pitchforks for

No doubt.  He'd be equivalent to Deebo Samuel of the 49ers

He's averaged that as the 4th WR on that team.

I made that point a few weeks ago. There's nuance to the statement, but Lazard has talent and we let him get away for nothing, that's the criticism of this team.

No offense, but how is 438 yards and 6 TD "killing it"? And he has never exceeded 500 yards on a season. He is a WR3 on an Aaron Rodgers offense, and we think he could be the number one here? He'd be another Marvin Jones at best.

I don't think of him as a #1, but he's more talented than the hacks we've been running out there the last few seasons. Had we kept him did we need to spend so much on Marvin Jones? Probably not, and that's opportunity cost for a position we could've shored up elsewhere.

My reference to “killing it” was specific to the game last night vs. MIN.
