PFF ranks Jaguars draft class 30th

#1

To almost no ones surprise, most see the Jaguars 2021 draft as a big disappointment so far.   Pff ranks the Jags draft class 30th after one season..  https://jaguarswire.usatoday.com/2022/01...f-the-nfl/

ETN: Didn't see the field at all

Lawrence:  Eh, rookie year was hindered with issues.  Regardless of reasons the final result was very poor.

Campbell:  Looks to be  a great pick.  After getting embarrassed a few times early in the season, he totally changed his game around.

Little:  Did not see the field enough, incomplete

Cisco:  The teams dysfunction shines with his limited playing time.  Could be a baller

Tufele:  Did he play at all?

Smith:  Do not remember anything  from him

Farrell:  He made a couple of decent catches and made some contributions

Camp:  Was he even in camp?  Do not remember him.

I think it should be in the 25th range myself but PFF as usual was not far off.  Sure you can point to an instance or two where the PFF system is bad but for the most part they are spot on.

Seems about right to me.

Kind of harsh. I just think there has to be a few more rookie classes that are worse but hmm.

It's a flat ranking of the class by WAR. Tlaw was very bad statistically and then we didn't play our good rookies enough for them to accumulate WAR. Makes sense and will be much higher in the future.

If the ranking is by performance then it's fair. Some people think the potential is much higher .

It's a fair ranking. Lawrence was the only consistent starter from this class on offense. Campbell was the only other consistent starter from this class on defense. They probably would have finished potentially around the 16th - 20th mark though had Little and Cisco been able to see the field. Given the overall ineptitude of last year's coaching staff though it shouldn't be surprising.

True.

Give Little, Cisco regular playing time and Campbell and Lawrence another year starting and this draft class suddenly doesn't look too bad.
