• In a series of follow-ups, she explained that she had met the man on Hinge and 'things were going well' up until that point, but they were 'not dating' exclusively
  
• Jen said she had met the other woman at a birthday party while out with the guy, but she didn't recognize either of them at first because they were wearing masks 
  
• However, when they started talking about their mutual friends, she made eye contact with the man in the backseat and realized it was him 
  
• Jen said the guy didn't say anything to her the entire ride, but then he called to apologize five minutes after he got out of the car, claiming he was in shock 
  
• He insisted he was just out with a friend that night, and she believed him  
  
• When she ran into the other woman at a bar a few days later, it was confirmed that her date had lied to her about them being involved
