Corn ethanol may be worse for the planet than gasoline

Another Big "I Told You So!"

Corn ethanol may be worse for the planet than gasoline, study says

Researchers said corn ethanol production is unlikely to contribute to climate change mitigation

Corn-based ethanol, which has been lauded as a green replacement for some fuels, is more detrimental to the ecosystem than the gasoline it has replaced, a study led by the University of Wisconsin–Madison has found.

Old news. Hillary said this in 2008, but Obama ignored the science. One of the reasons Hillary lost the primary and why and Obama won Iowa in 2008. Iowans love corn subsidies and hate science.
In spite of this, Congress stopped renewing most of our corn ethanol subsidies late in Obama's second term. And good riddance to bad science.
That said, we do need to reduce greenhouse gases and building new nuclear power plants while buying electric vehicles is the best way forward. Renewables (solar and wind) help too but not as much.

Nuclear would be the way to go as long as the waste can be handled. Just send it out into space on the Space-X express.

I guess you're happy for it to be launched from CC knowing that if it exploded on launch most of the South East of the US becomes uninhabitable.
