United Furniture fires thousands by text days before Thanksgiving

Former employee of Mississippi-based furniture company says 'that rocks your world when something like that happens'

Mississippi-based United Furniture Industries laid off nearly its entire workforce before Thanksgiving. 

Around 2,700 workers lost their jobs on Monday, according to a report from the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal.
