None of those guys except for maybe ETN are going to be here for the long term. And none of them are considered elite or "franchise" material at their respective positions - but Trevor has been described that way and needs to be. He needs to be better at QB than Engram at TE. he needs to elevate others. He needs to be a much better QB than Ridley is a WR.Sweet. So because Trevor isn't one of the top 2 QBs of all time, he's not a franchise QB? Everyone will fall short if you're comparing Trevor to Mahomes and Brady. No - i'm just saying that franchise QBs elevate the team around him. I don't think Trevor is elevating the O-line's play, I don't think he's elevating the receiver's play either. I think he's playing like a middle of the road QB, and has for the vast majority of his professional career, even if I take out the disaster that was his rookie season. Who do I want my QB to be? Trevor. He has shown that he can win and can be clutch, so I am all for continuing to develop him and give him as many weapons as possible. I am just a little concerned, and I am here to discuss it. I'm concerned because in this modern NFL - where scoring is higher than it has been ever before, where seemingly half the league has a QB rating of over 90, Trevor isn't lighting it up. That's what I'm saying. And this year he hasn't had a single game where you say "wow, look at that". I'm ready for our offense to have a game where we score 40. It needs to happen.
