Sad thing is, the Jaguars seem to agree.

Quote:5.5 sacks is pathetic from the 'big end" in our defense that's job is to set the edge and be a big run stopper? [BAD WORD REMOVED] are you talking about.

Im talking about The big end position. And how Odrick lead the team with 5.5 sacks last year..which is trash! People stop trying to validate Gus's big end position.. If its not productive dont defend it..

Obviously they don't. Proof is in the 2016 draft and defensive coordinator hire.

In case you didn't notice, that's no different position than any other LDE in a 4-3 scheme.

I do agree that we need more production from our RDE (LEO.)

But that also suggests the right side is getting pressure, moving the QB in the direction of our LDE who is in position to make those plays.

The RDE is responsible for pas rushing in any 4-3 scheme. He plays against the LT. That job is less important for the LDE.

Dependant on down and distance. ^

 The LDE's priority/responsibility varies accordingly.

Does it really matter where the pressure comes from? In today's NFL pressure the QB or lose

To me sacks aren't overrated. They are almost always drive killers or ends the drive entirely
