Outside of Gus Bradley, Luke Joeckel, and the pass rush, what are your 3 major concerns going into this season?

Kicking game is the first one that comes to mind. Until I see something that has changed in Meyers, I have a bad feeling about him.

Keeping Bortles healthy. Bortles taking that next step as well. Especially in those first 4 weeks against good/great qbs.

Special teams play, in general. It was just preseason, but it didn't look as good as I was hoping.

Err... "pass rush" is a banned answer per the thread title so we'll have to default to LB coverage for #3.

True, true

I should edit it out but because it is so important to winning in today's game I'm going to leave it. No disrespect to the OP

1. The Redzone offense.

2. The 3rd down defense.  Specifically Poz because he can't defend against the pass.  Eventually we might see Jack in there to help the problem.

1. Can any body truly know what the new DC brings to the table?

2. LB coverage in the middle is still a concern. Veteran Poz/rookie Jack

3. Special team (kick-off) coverage is going to be a problem

Quote:It isn't necessarily any deeper than the other points you have brought up, but I've had longstanding concerns of our special teams unit under Mallory for quite a while, and I don't see that getting any better this year.

I agree with this...I have no idea how Mallory wasn't fired 2 seasons ago, or a season ago or how he'll stay on after this season.

Makes me wonder how we had the most productive kickers (Hollis, Scobee), and now we can't find someone who can consistently kick an extra point or 30 yard FG...

I was stunned to be honest. The Jaguars special teams unit in 2014 may have been the worst I have ever seen.

1. Lack of discipline

2. Team coming out flat

3. Garbage defensive scheme

Oh wait, all of that falls on bobblehead Gus. Guess I broke the topic rules.
