Cuts

Quote:Linkenback - IR

Wolfe - Waived injured

Bowenko - PUP

Woodard - PUP

Woodard surprises me on PUP. They must really think he has a chance to play this season coming off a fresh torn achilles.

He regressed. Not sure why. Same thing happened to Derek Cox two regimes ago.

How? He has been playing like a bum all preseason and last year.

The hope has always been he can return late in the season. I don't know why the Jags are so optimistic about that. A player on PUP can be activated as late as Week 9.

Quote:I agree. Shocker in the sense of name recognition only.

McCray is a bit of a shocker as I was hoping he'd make it over Gratz, but so be it.

I hope Jamal Robinson winds up making it to the PS.

There are plenty of articles that exist without having to provide a link.

You just explained their optimism in your question. That is, they're so optimistic BECAUSE he can be activated as late as week 9.

I'm hoping Woodard uses this time to bulk up a bit so that when he returns he can claim the backup LDE spot.

its still crazy he managed to have as good of a year as he did a couple years back.  I was a McCray fan and I'm sure he will bounce around the league for a few years, I don't know what happened to him the last year and this training camp.

Go Jags!
*To stay up for atleast 2 years 3/6/17
2016 draft players I think will be good
  • On the Fournette train, will be best back of his class 3/6/17
  • Lattimore please,  Lockdowns on both sides would be nice
  • Engram at TE and the MJD clone Samaje Perine

So there's still three more players to waive.

I'll say...

Shane Wynn

Rashod Hill

Sean Porter

That's my prediction, although I wish I could say Henne, Gratz and Ash.

Regressed.  Maybe a mental thing, or coaching, possibly and likely both. Sucks he seemed like a gem of a pick a couple years ago.

McCray is the only big name and he is only a name because the secondary has been so bad the last 3 years that he lasted this long and even started for 2 seasons.
