Roster moves

Cam to IR.   So we will not have Cam to kick around for a bit. We have plenty of other option of course so not to worry...Wink
Chandler Brewer from the practice squad to the active roster
signed OL Keaton Sutherland and OL Jimmy Murray to the practice squad

Now we can understand the emotion Cam was feeling...

Has a diagnosis been made available for the severity of Cam’s injury yet?

no - just a rumor of 3-6 weeks recovery and an IR designation with return possibility

probably a mild lateral ligament tear IMO (similar to Trevor's situation)

So not a catastrophic injury that could last until the start of next season?

Not unless it is worse than the report from "sources" an NFL writer has issued. Which is possible.
It would appear they are hoping to have him back for the playoffs based on IR designation.

Hate to see it. Cam has good fire and a nasty streak at LT you want. But the like seemed to really click when Walker/Ezra came in and I LOVED seeing Cleveland plowing the road on DJs run yesterday. Gotta wonder if from a sheer numbers point of they let him go in the off-season. We could definitely allocate that money into extending Trevor, resigning Josh Allen, or possibly resigning Ridley.

The line looked better better yesterday as a pass blocking unit, and less so as a run blocking unit. I don't know much about Ezra Cleveland, is he more known for pass or run blocking?

Fun fact: per Wikipedia, he was born 3 weeks early...and still came out at 11 lbs.

Even though I sometimes suspect the PFF numbers a bit, I am looking to see this week's grades. PFF is really all we have, other than the eye test. I do believe it contributes to the disconnect between the coaches opinions and fan's opinions.  Not a pan on PFF, but they have no way of knowing what a player's assignment was on any given play when watching the film unless they have a playbook. The coaches actually know.

When we traded for him, I read somewhere that he is more of a pass blocker than a run blocker.

On the other hand, on that screen pass to D'Ernest Johnson, did you see him blocking 50 yards downfield?  That was impressive.
