@RapSheet The #Cowboys are still looking for edge help, hosting former #Lions DE Jason Jones on a visit, source said.

Not sure why we haven't had interest.

Previously,  Jason Jones visited with the Dolphins and Steelers.

My take on Jason Jones is he's a good edge run setter,  who provides the versatility of playing DT in expected passing situations.   Jones is an underrated all around DE/ Defensive Lineman,  who has very good character and overall intangibles.   But looking at his skills from a Jaguars standpoint,   I'm not sure how much more he's going to add on the field to what they already have in the fold.

They should just flip-flop the TE and WR position and run 2-3 TE's and 1 WR.

<p class="">One name to watch as NFL draft approaches: Raiders TE Mychal Rivera. He's expected to be available in a trade.

I don't see it. They are a playoff contender and they need him to get past the first round.

Yeah, Bellichick will let him grow to 400 and just have UPS deliver him to the middle of the field on 1st down.

The situation with Pot Roast reminds me to some extent with the situation with Nick Fairley,  though Fairley has lost a considerable amount of weight in the last 1 1/2 years.   Both DTs are very talented,  yet when Free Agency comes around the best offer they have received two years in a row is in the form of a 1 year contract.   Players with much less ability than both of them have signed much better contracts in recent years.

He'll probably end up like Wilfork.  He'll keep getting signed until he can't physically play any longer.  So, he'll keep getting year to year contracts.

The league, and certain teams in particular, likes "mountain" DTs eating up space the middle.
