Um, you do realize the team that turns the ball over more scores fewer points and can't win the game, right? Stupid question.

 

You could have just kept it at "scores fewer points."  No need for "and."

 

Did you not see the Cardinals beat the Packers even after having more turnovers?

 

I know you have a condition, but that doesn't make stupid.

 

Turnovers can influence the outcome, but points dictate the outcome.  They mean nothing if you can't take advantage and outscore the other team.
