Christian McCaffrey

Quote:I think he'd be deadly in our offense because of Bortles. He'd be Walters on steroids. We'd use him as a compliment to Yeldon and as a slot receiver.
So he'd be like Walters on steroids? Soooo you'd switch him to a slot receiver?

We use him as both RB and slot receiver. I can see us using a two back shotgun look at times with him and Yeldon.

Okay but how does that make him like "Walters on steroids"? Walters doesn't do any of that stuff you're talking about.

I see him being used like Reggie Bush early years in NO

Yup. Running back, slot guy, PR, and KR. Reggie Bush or Danny Woodhead on steroids.

Next years RB class is stacked... Fournette, Cook, McCaffrey, and Chubb. Hopefully Dave can fix this defense in this offseason and go for McCaffrey as a luxury pick.

McCaffrey will be a second round pick anyway.

What makes you think this?  I see no way 32 teams pass on him and especially the Pats along with the Titans if Kelly goes there

White running back stigma on top of the fact I don't think he is going to be a great running back, he will be more like a really nice gadget player. Those types don't go in the first round typically. Especially since I doubt he'll have exceptional size or anything.

Hard to project where he would go in the draft, given his position and lack of size, but I would be amazed if he gets beyond pick #40.   When people discount him, I wonder if they've seen him play.   He has some sick moves in the open field, and a great pair of hands for pass catching.   Put aside the fact that he's white, or that he only weighs 200.   This is one heck of a football player, uniquely talented, athletically gifted, who can run between the tackles and is extremely hard to tackle in the open field.

Isn't he pretty much the same weight/height as Jaamal Charles?

If he doesn't go in the first round, there are a lot of teams that are going to regret it.

Quote:McCaffrey is a great college player, but in the L, I think he has to go to the right offense. He'd be deadly in an offense like the Pats run.

Could be a more explosive Danny Woodhead. Hopefully, he doesn't go to the Patriots.

I'm gonna puke when the Patriots draft him.  He's a perfect fit for that team.

This guy has 645 receiving yards this season and over 1,000 return yards (in addition to his 2,000+ rushing yards).   BB would utilize this dude as an all purpose player. Heck, Julian Edelman played QB in College.
