Craziest plays at football games

George Young was hired as the Giants G.M.   A few months later,  Young drafted QB Phil Simms in Round 1.   Young hired Ray Perkins as the Giants HC.  Bill Parcells was the Defensive Coordinator on Ray Perkins staff with the Giants.   After Perkins left for Alabama to replace the late Paul ' Bear'  Bryant,   Parcells was named Giants HC.   Three seasons later,  the Giants,  led by Parcells,  Simms,   and of course a tremendous Defense that Young largely put together  (  OLB Lawrence Taylor was their # 1 pick in 1981 ),   the Giants beat the Broncos to win the Super Bowl.   Four seasons later,   the Giants beat the Bills to win their 2nd Super Bowl.   For the most part,  since the George Young era began in 1979,   the Giants have been one of the most successful NFL teams,

Not a single play, but probably the craziest finish ever to a football game:

The short version: Down by 24 (41-17) with three minutes left, Plano East scored a quick TD, and then proceeded to kick and recover three consecutive onside kicks and score after each one, to take the lead with 11 seconds left. No longer needing an onside kick, they kicked off deep and John Tyler ran it back for a TD to win.
