This is the same University President who oversaw the culture around the first openly gay football player without any incidents of racism being leveled against him. It's the same University Chancellor who supported him and his courage to out himself to the team before his last season began. It seems curious to me why his teammates now think the man should lose his job over a lack of action against racial incidents.

 

In other news, the President of the UM system overseas 4 campuses with many incidents happening at each one, not the least of which is student rapes, vandalism, fraternity violations, funding shortfalls, alumni support, etc. It's a very complicated and complex position. But fear not, I am very much certain the man was given a buyout by the curators to step aside and let's get this thing settled and out of the news.

How can it be documented if there's no public evidence of it ever taking place, and if anyone asking for documentation is attacked?  Do you count the "poo swastika" as part of this "documented" pattern of racism?  How about the black student claiming he heard the N-word shouted from a pickup truck?  He gave no photo or video evidence, no description, no tag number.  Is this part of the "documented" pattern of racism?

Did you read the article? Not only were there the documented incidents, but senior faculty, very senior faculty, reported being the targets of racism in multiple occasions. Rocking the boat with statements like that is a great way to get yourself blackballed, so you'd damn well better be telling the truth.


Edit: also, I'm still waiting to hear how falsely accusing someone of rape is the same thing as bringing a documented history of unchallenged racism to light.
