Whew...

I thought he was just arrested when you posted this, but he was actually arrested back in March. The Ravens cut him as a result, and then the Jaguars signed him knowing all about this. So it's not necessarily a factor moving forward.

Staff is incompetent.

Did it surprise anyone that he didn't get any touches in the game?

I'd give Banger the ball over Slowhart at this point...

Honestly, this was one of my question marks when it came to Olson and Kelly Skipper. This was the same combo that kept Latavius Murray on the bench over broken down MJD and McFadden last season with Oakland. We've seen so many questionable decisions with our running back rotation that its just making me scratch my head.

Denard should remain right where he is. Not a fan of his. He's a good 3rd back, but expecting anything else is crazy

When healthy - he's a threat.  I hope he starts getting his touches after the bye. They'd be foolish not to take advantage of him if he's near 100% health.

Robinson career ypc is 4.1 (pretty decent) with a long of 41 (average)

with 4 total rushing TDs

I'm failing to see the "threat" here

Quote:More questionable calls from the coaching staff for either leaving him off the injury report when injuried OR him being in some type of dog house with Gus.  He can definitely return kickoffs and take a few end arounds to spell TJ.
It may have been a case where he was having some issues with stiffness in the injured knee, and they made a game time decision to hold him out unless they absolutely needed him.  Traveling across the Atlantic can't be good for someone who is dealing with a knee injury to begin with.  The fact that he didn't get any touches is a clear indication something was going on.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

That's because you are bad at seeing things.  And you are great at failing.

The threat is his speed and elusiveness. He makes people miss and can outrun defenders. He'd be a good C.O.P. back with a decent package of plays designed to get him the ball in space.  But I don't expect you to see or understand any of that.

I think "potential threat" is probably more accurate.  He has clearly progressed since arriving here, and he does have the potential to be a weapon in this offense.  As he continues to learn the position, he should continue to improve.

FBT, I think that *potential* threat is more apt.

Quote:For starters, they never used Toby or Alualu to spell Yeldon. Rather, they used these two in key short yardage situations.

Before the season the plan was to use a RB-by-jury approach until we know that TJ can handle the load, but it appears we now realize he can. At this point Denard is basically Yeldon's primary backup, only we were never at a point where Yeldon needed to be spelled.

As for Gerhart, I'm guessing Pierce just surpassed him in the rotation as the short yardage specialist, but we shall see if that's the case. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if Gerhart is released at some point this season. Quite frankly, the only reason Gerhart is on the roster is because they basically felt he can always get two yards when they need it, but if that's not the case then he's really of no use at all.

They realized he could handle the load before or after he went well over 100 yds rushing on one of the leagues best defenses?

Fortunately, there were enough 'crazy' people on staff who wouldn't agree with your assessment of D.Rob and he helped put up a 50 burger on the dolts. He is a very fast, and elusive back with great 'field vision'. Unlike Yeldon, he is decisive when he hits the hole (assuming there is a hole) and makes the most of it. He is an excellent 1..2 combo with Yeldon. Toby ain't even missed.
