Poor Lakers. When did they become a cesspool for scrubs doing money grabs?

I love how Kobe played in his prime, but he financially and emotionally bankrupted that franchise near the end of his career. If he had done like Tim Duncan has, they could have stayed competitive throughout his decline and still remained a popular destination for free agents.

Sad.

The NBA stopping the Chris Paul trade to the Lakers changed that franchise.

I posted something similar to twitter (in 140 characters or less  Banana ). LA doesn't have the draw it did for players anymore. They no longer fall over themselves if the Lakers come calling.

Timofey Mozgov, what a deal! $16 million a year. I have no doubts that had they (or any other team) waited a week, maybe 2-3, that Mozgov could have been had for much, much, much cheaper. No, LA went after him at midnight of FA, you kidding me?? I think he'll be making $4 million a year more then Curry this next season!

If guys like Curry and James have proven anything, it is that stars will be stars no matter where they play. It is becoming more like the NFL where you get exposure no matter what market you are in.

Quote:I think its his best fit and why not? He is their missing piece imo. I think they would win it with KD.

Are they that much better than the Thunder though? Griffin would have to go if Durant came.

Lolol, Conley for 153 million. That means Steph curry should have a 300 million contract

Howard got a little less than what he wanted. Another money grab for Dwight. I'm sure he has one more in him before he hangs up the sneakers.

Every free agent is getting franchise QB money, lol.

I should start my own NBA Agent business...

Represent some scrubs who get $100m + contracts? The dream is real.

Love the Jeff Green 1 year deal signing. If our young players develope we can snag a playoff seed. AG has super star potential. With Ibaka and Green and AG oir D will be much improved. Have a much better coach, and hopefully Mario and EP improve as they have huge upside as well. Just glad we didnt give out these huge contracts to average players.

I wanted Conley but for 30mil a year no thx lol. We will be in good shape next year to sign a max player as well

Magic just got Biyombo I think? Was writing them off earlier but that defense is going to be pretty nice.

The offense will be a different story....

Vuc, Ibaka, Biyombo is a formidable "big" 3.

Is this how NBA free agency is going to be going forward? If so, how will a team like Golden State stay together? I think the days of a dynasty are over or it is going to take Tim Duncan like selflessness and creative contracts to keep these teams together.
