Biden Not Running

#1

Just saw on CNN that Joe Biden announced that he's not running.

I guess the media can now begin speculating as to who will be in Hillary Clinton's cabinet.

Can we have a moment of silence for the real victim here? That poor lonely podium.... Sad

Did anyone really expect him to run? He was the most invisible VP I can remember.

Also, he had no landing spot.  8 years ago when he lost in the primaries he could still take a political step forward into a cabinet post or as it turned out VPOTUS.  If he looses this time there's absolutely nothing to be gained.  If I were him id rather be the two term VP of an administration that implemented a lot of dream policies for my side of the isle than a guy who lost another primary this time as the sitting VP.

I wonder how much the Clintons paid for this.

He's also in his 70's. I think it's more likely that he just decided he's to a point where there are more important things than politics.

Hillary popped a bottle of champaign after the announcement. Unfortunately for her, this is going to strengthen Sanders' campaign by keeping him in the spotlight. I still think he can beat Hillary, and I think he could hold his own against almost any Republican in the field.

You really need to quit drinking so much during the week...

I would love to see a Hillary vs. Marco Rubio debate.

You think he can beat Hillary? Really? With getting no black votes and probably not a lot from people over 35.

Bernie is running to promote his ideas; I doubt he thinks he has any chance of getting the nomination. Hillary is plenty enough left for the Democratic Party.

I wonder if he can reduce her to a "what difference does it make?" gaffe the way Ron Johnson did.

You know what I'm kind of glad Sanders is around it has that word we've all been hiding from for 50 years in the spotlight. Socialism

Bernie gives us the chance to call it what it is, much of what we do and how we do is socialism, Bernie comes out and says we need more of it, so now lets here the argument that these socialist practices are the problem not the solution.

Sadly the side that is supposed to argue against the socialist solutions is inept and I think we're going to only march more towards a socialist state but at least we aren't pretending its not a socialist state anymore. When the state fails we can lay it at the feet of socialism, because this sure as [BLEEP] ain't free market capitalism.

We haven't had "free market capitalism" (whatever that is) since at least 1933 - you know, the Great Depression. There seem to be only a few, usually writing from their bunker, lol, that truly want it to return.

Bernie's "socialism" is nothing more than general Democratic dogma, dressed up to look like an anachronistic "wave of the future".
