Currently Bortles is 8th in the league in passing yards. 12th in TDs (4 TD passes away from being top!!)

Robinson is 10th in receiving yards, Hurns is 12th.

Yeldon is 15th in rushing yards.

Poz is 3rd in tackles, would probably be first if he didn't get hurt. Telvin Smith is 4th.

Ryan Davis is 18th in the league in sacks. Poz is 18th in the league for INTs.

That's good stuff there amirite?!?!

Oh wait, we can't win any games.

I miss you Julius Thomas and Marks.

Yet we can't score in the second half of games, and we're 1-3.

Actually I think this is a great point.  When you look at the stats from the game bortles threw for nearly 300 yards, hurns went for 11 and 116 with a touch allen robinson went 4 for 80 and yeldon went 22 for 105.  Those stats don't tell the tale of a team that was shut out in the second half.

This team was penalized at the worst times, didn't convert on third down, and missed two game winning field goals.  In this league that will get you beat, if it happens often enough coaches become unemployed.

The offense is clearly moving the ball better this year, they just can't put up 6 consistently enough, which is par for the course for a young offense. If we could produce more in the running game that would help.

IMO, the larger issue on offense is the repeated self inflicted drive killing mistakes, and that it looks like the whole offense gets tight after half time. There is no excuse for the drops and stupid illegal formation type penalties, as well as going in the tank after halftime in every game.

These stats prove that we are playing better than most are saying. The negative aspect of our play is the defensive penalties that literally drove the opponent down the field in the second half of the game. If it were not for this particular "Penalty Given Drive", we woulld be in a better position at this point...

Where are you getting your stats because looking at them on Sunday when they are not complete is premature. Recheck numbers again on Tuesday and I think you will see our guys shifting down the list.

As we get some key players back this year and next we will; be a much better team. The team is improving and will continue to improve but cherry picking stats doesn't show the whole story. Such as

Bortles is also last in league in completion % which can lead to a lot of 3 and outs.

Robinson has 15 receptions to 40 targets showing his dropping the ball problem which can lead to 3 and outs.

Yeldon's yards per attempt is 3.7 and of his 70 carries only 8 have gone for 1st downs which both are 37th. This also leads to a lot of 3 and outs

It only shows you that the team has talent but that the coaching staff cant get the most out of it.
