This a terrible time to have to play the Patriots, right after our first win. Deflation potential exists. Tom Brady is a whole lot more accurate than Cam and Tannehill. I fully expect the Patriots to score at least 40 points. If our offense can hang, and score on every drive, we have a chance.

well I think a little bit of deflation is to be expected when playing at Foxborough...

Good point the win really brought hope to the players and the fans that this year will be different only to immediately go and play the Patriots in New England after two weeks of Tom Brady destroying defenses with vengence as he's thrown over 750 yards and 7 TDs!

Not to mention argueably the best player on the team, RG Linder, is now most likely not going to play with a right shoulder injury.  The Jaguars have been plagued with injuries to its best players since the offseason.

It is hard for even the biggest Homer to predict a Jaguars win this week, but I'll be Homer Simpson this week.  GO JAGUARS!!

7.5 on your money is a pretty good bet.

I don't think the Patriots will score 40 (at least I hope not).

There's always that mundane detail...  Check your IM's.   Wink

I'm seeing a whole lot of Jags upset picks on Facebook. Several years ago I might have been inclined to agree, however, I've been there and done that too many times taking on Brady and Belichick, and it's never even a game. Every time we play them it's more than apparent we don't even belong in the same league. Brady typically just sits in the pocket doing whatever he wants, and in every instance Belichick gets the better of our HC regardless of who it is. I've simply come to accept that Belichick owns our team.

I would go with an upset pick if the team was healthy.  I still say that the Jaguars will cover the point spread.

I say they'll cover the spread, at least, that's where my money is and I got a 13.5 point spread

That's what I said last week. I was going to pick the Jaguars to beat the Dolphins, but then when I heard Joekel would be out along with a few others I told myself there's no way as banged up as they are.

It looks like most of the casinos in Vegas are now at 13.5 with an over/under now at 48.5.

Quote:The Bills have a strong defense and still gave up 40 points to the Pats in Buffalo.
The Bills scored 32 and I think the Jags have a better offense. I think the OVER is a safe bet, barring a downpour.

As far as the spread, I think the Jags will have a hard time keeping this game close. NE 49, Jags 27.

It appears I was overly optimistic about the Jags offense.

No doubt, I missed on the spreads for our game and the Chi vs Sea game. I made up for it with a last second bet with a friend on the chargers/vikings game (he gave me vikings +3 @ home LOL), but Vegas got me this week.

Well I was miserably wrong this past weekend as far as the Jaguars covering the spread.  I was hoping for a MUCH closer game.
